Peter Emery
Hockey
Peter Emery was in goal for both of Lawrence's victories over Marian in the Battle of Highway 41 series, and he was named the Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association Defensive Player of the Week. The freshman goaltender from Goleta, Calif., made 50 saves in Lawrence's 4-3 overtime victory over Marian on Feb. 3. He followed that with 25 saves in the Vikings' 6-2 victory at Marian on Feb. 4. For the two games, Emery posted a .938 save percentage and 2.40 goals against average.
Matt Hughes
Hockey
Matt Hughes scored three times and helped Lawrence to a weekend sweep of Marian in the Battle of Highway 41 series. In the series opener on Feb. 3, the senior forward from Goodrich, Mich., scored the game-winning goal with 10 seconds left in overtime to give Lawrence a 4-3 victory. Hughes also scored earlier in the contest. Hughes then picked up a goal and an assist in Lawrence's 6-2 victory at Marian on Feb. 4.
Chris Siebert
Men's Basketball
Chris Siebert turned in three outstanding games as Lawrence posted a 2-1 record on the week. The sophomore guard from Baraboo, Wis., averaged 20 points, 4.7 assists and 3.3 rebounds per game for the week. Siebert scored 21 points and handed out nine assists in Lawrence's 85-81 victory over Ripon on Jan. 31. Siebert then scored 15 points, grabbed five rebounds and had four steals in Lawrence's 66-58 overtime loss to Lake Forest on Feb. 3. Siebert finished his week with 24 points, four rebounds and three assists in a 77-76 victory over Illinois College on Feb. 4.
