Atley Gay
Baseball

Atley Gay picked up his first collegiate win and his first collegiate save and was named the Midwest Conference Pitcher of the Week. The freshman from Manitowoc, Wis., went the distance in Lawrence's 11-1 win at Finlandia on April 14 to get his first win. He allowed two hits, struck out four and didn’t walk a batter. Gay earned his first save by pitching the final inning of Lawrence's 8-5 victory over MSOE on April 11. For the week, Gay pitched eight innings and posted a 1.12 earned run average.

Gabe Henriques
Baseball

Gabe Henriques helped power Lawrence to a 6-0 record on the week. The junior shortstop from Chicago, Ill., hit .500 (10-for-20) and was named the Midwest Conference Player of the Week. Henriques scored 10 runs and collected two doubles, a triple and a homer. Henriques, who drove in seven runs in the six games, had a .630 on-base percentage for an impressive 1.130 OPS.

Shannon Murray
Softball

Shannon Murray tossed a no-hitter and hit a blistering .571 in five games. The junior pitcher/infielder from Lawrenceville, Ga., tossed a no-hitter in Lawrence's 12-0 win over Grinnell on April 14. Murray struck out seven and did not walk a batter en route to throwing the second no-hitter of her career and only the third in Lawrence history. At the plate, Murray went 8-for-14 with three doubles, a homer and four runs batted in. Murray posted a 1.000 slugging percentage for the week.
