Anna Bolgrien placed in two events to pace the Vikings at the St. Norbert Invitational on April 21. The freshman from Duluth, Minn., placed second in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:07.66 and set the fastest time in the Midwest Conference in the process. Bolgrien also raced to sixth place in the 100 hurdles in 17.35 seconds.

Baseball
Drew Doares tossed his first career shutout in Lawrence's series with Beloit. The freshman pitcher from Holly Springs, N.C., allowed only five hits in Lawrence's 1-0 victory over Beloit on April 21. Doares struck out four and walked three and didn't allow a Beloit runner to reach third base in the contest.
