Jon Bruehl
Football
Jon Bruehl caught five passes for a career-best 188 yards in Lawrence's 34-21 loss to St. Scholastica on Sept. 3. The senior wide receiver from Kaukauna, Wis., had the third-longest touchdown catch in Lawrence history when he grabbed a 94-yard scoring pass from quarterback Luke Barthelmess early in the second quarter. Bruehl made the catch down the near sideline and then faked out a defender to get to the end zone. Bruehl's previous career high for receiving yards was 77 last season vs. Carroll, and his 188 yards is the most by a Lawrence receiver since Jeremiah Johnson had 150 yards vs. Beloit last season.
