Cross Country

Sam Estrem turned in the best finish of his career at Lawrence's Gene Davis Invitational on Oct. 8. The senior from Newberg, Ore., completed the 8,000-meter course in 27:54.18 to finish 14th. Estrem had recorded a pair of 20th-place finishes earlier in his career. Estrem helped the Vikings to a fourth-place finish in the team standings.

Emily Muhs
Cross Contry

Emily Muhs ran to a third-place finish to pace Lawrence at the Gene Davis Invitational on Oct. 8. The senior from Janesville, Wis., covered the 6,000-meter course 24:09.36. Led by Muhs, who had her top finish of the season, the Vikings finished fourth in the teams standings.

Taiju Oki
Men's Soccer

Taiju Oki made his first career start in goal a memorable one. The freshman goalkeeper from Tokyo, Japan, made a dramatic save with 24.7 seconds left to secure a 3-2 victory over St. Norbert on Oct. 5. The Green Knights were awarded a penalty kick in the game's final seconds, but Oki made a diving stop of the shot from Trevor Scales to lift Lawrence to the win. Oki finished the match with three saves to pick up his first collegiate victory.
