Mallory Koula
Women's Soccer
Mallory Koula broke a pair of NCAA records and was named the Midwest Conference Offensive Player of the Week. The senior forward from Kimberly, Wis., scored three consecutive goals in a NCAA record 42 seconds in Lawrence's 6-1 victory over Beloit on Oct. 15. Koula set the individual and team records for the fastest three consecutive goals in NCAA history. Koula added a fourth goal later in the game and broke Lawrence's career scoring record. Koula now has 56 goals for her career, and that breaks the mark of 55, set by Megan Tiemann from 1998-2001.
Beth Larson
Women's Tennis
Beth Larson won the No. 1 singles title and repeated as the No. 1 doubles champion at the Midwest Conference Championships on Oct. 15-16. The senior from Maplewood, Minn., won the No. 1 singles crown for the second time in her career. She wrapped up the title with a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Carroll’s Abigail Pellett in the championship match. Larson and partner Jenni Roesch won the No. 1 doubles title for the second consecutive year. Larson and Roesch became Lawrence's first repeat champions at No. 1 doubles since 1985-86. Larson and Roesch posted a 6-0, 6-4 win over Sadhana Athreya and Laura Krull of Grinnell in the championship match.
Charlie Mann
Men's Soccer
Charlie Mann spearheaded the Lawrence defense in two wins and was chosen as the Midwest Conference Defensive Player of the Week. A sophomore defender from Denver, Colo., Mann was a key player in the Vikings' 2-0 victory at Ripon on Oct. 12 and then shut down Beloit star Jackson Wilkins in Lawrence's 2-1 overtime victory over the Bucs on Oct. 15.
Sam Stevens
Cross Country
Sam Stevens led all MIdwest Conference runners at the UW-Oshkosh Brooks Invitational on Oct. 15 and was named the MWC Performer of the Week. Running in a field of elite teams from around the Midwest, the junior from Suamico, Wis., covered the 8,000-meter course at Lake Breeze Golf Club in 26:02.29 to finish 47th. Stevens finished 51 places higher than the next finisher from the league.
