Gustav Lindgren had a big weekend to lead Lawrence to a Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association sweep of Northland. The freshman forward from Stockholm, Sweden, picked up a goal and five assists in the two games at the Appleton Family Ice Center and was named MCHA Freshman of the Week. In Lawrence's 5-3 win on Nov. 11, Lindgren scored his first collegiate goal and assisted on the game-winning goal. In Lawrence's 6-2 victory on Nov. 12, Lindgren had four assists, which is the second-highest game total in school history.

Swimming

Taylor Winter got his Lawrence career off to a great start and was named the Midwest Conference Swimmer of the Week. The freshman from Bayside, Wis., won multiple events in Lawrence's first three dual meets of the season. In her collegiate debut against Beloit on Oct. 29, Winter won the 500-yard freestyle in 5:30.17, won the mixed 1,000 freestyle in 11:12.96 and swam on the winning 200 freestyle relay team. The Vikings won the meet 114-71. In a dual meet with UW-River Falls on Nov. 4 that ended in a tie, Winter won the 100 butterfly in 1:05.47, took first in the 500 freestyle in 5:24.98, won the 1,000 freestyle in 11:03.19 and was part of the winning 200 freestyle relay team. In a loss at UW-Whitewater on Nov. 12, Winter won the 500 freestyle in 5:24.87 and took first in the 1,650 freestyle in 18:38.31.
