Peter Emery
Hockey
Peter Emery remained unbeaten on the season after a pair of ties with Marian. The freshman goaltender from Goleta, Calif., was also named the Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association Freshman of the Week. Emery received the honor after picking up a pair of ties in a MCHA series with Marian. Emery, who remained unbeaten on the season at 3-0-2, posted a 1.85 goals against average and .947 save percentage in the two games against the Sabres. In the series opener on Nov. 17, Emery stopped 32 shots in Lawrence’s 2-2 overtime tie with the Sabres at the Appleton Family Ice Center. Emery followed that by making 40 saves in another 2-2 overtime tie with the Sabres at the Blue Line Ice Center.
Chris Siebert
Men's Basketball
Chris Siebert turned in a career performance in one game as Lawrence split its first two contests of the season. In a 72-64 victory over Wisconsin Lutheran on Nov. 18, the sophomore guard from Baraboo, Wis., scored a career-high 26 points. Siebert hit 10 of 16 shots from the floor, including 4 of 7 from 3-point range in the win over the Warriors. Siebert also scored 15 points in Lawrence's 80-58 loss at No. 24 UW-Stevens Point on Nov. 15. For the week, Siebert averaged 20.5 points per game while shooting 59.3 percent from the floor. He also averaged 4.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.0 steals per game.
Taylor Winter
Swimming
Taylor Winter won two events and swam on a winning relay team to lead Lawrence to a sweep at the Lawrence Triangular on Nov. 19. The freshman from Bayside, Wis., won the 200-yard freestyle in 2:02.62 and took first in the 500 freestyle in 5:21.47. Winter also swam the opening leg of the winning 400 freestyle relay team, which took first in 4:02.64. Lawrence defeated Ripon 135-40 and topped Marquette 118-72.
