Emily Flack
Women's Swimming
Emily Flack set two school records and placed in three events at the Midwest Conference Championships Feb. 15-17 at Grinnell. The freshman from Edina, Minn., set Lawrence records in both the 100-yard backstroke and 200 backstroke. Flack took second in the 100 backstroke in 1:00.23 and grabbed second in the 200 backstroke in 2:10.12. Flack also placed fourth in the 500 freestyle. She also swam on the 200 medley relay team (1:53.20), 400 medley relay (4:06.51) and 800 freestyle relay (7:57.04) teams that all set school records.
Conor Klusendorf
Men's Basketball
Conor Klusendorf led Lawrence to a pair of victories and was named the Midwest Conference Player of the Week. A senior forward from Chicago, Ill., Klusendorf averaged 21 points per game while shooting better than 65 percent from the floor in the two contests. In a 63-61 win at Lake Forest on Feb. 12, Klusendorf scored 21 points and grabbed five rebounds while hitting 8-of-13 shots from the floor. In a 114-106 overtime win over Grinnell on Feb. 16, Klusendorf again scored 21 points and hit 9-of-13 shots from the floor. He also grabbed eight rebounds. For the week, Klusendorf averaged 21.0 points while shooting 65.4 percent (17-26) from the floor. He also averaged 6.5 rebounds per game and 1.0 blocks per contest.
Fabian Sivnert
Hockey
Fabian Sivnert led Lawrence to a series victory over Lake Forest Feb. 15-16 and was named the Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association Defensive Player of the Week. The freshman goaltender from Hollviken, Sweden, earned the honor after picking up a win and a tie against the Foresters. Sivnert posted a 1.44 goals against average and .961 save percentage in the two games. In Lawrence's 2-1 victory over Lake Forest on Feb. 15, Sivnert stopped 37 shots. In a 2-2 overtime tie at Lake Forest on Feb. 16, Sivnert again made 37 saves. All three goals scored by the Foresters on the weekend came on the power play.
Taylor Winter
Women's Swimming
Taylor Winter had three top-three finishes at the Midwest Conference Championships Feb. 15-17 at Grinnell. The sophomore from Bayside, Wis., took second in the 500-yard freestyle in 5:08.39 and placed second in the 1,650 freestyle in 17:48.69. Winter also took third in the 200 freestyle in 1:57.80. Winter also swam on the 200 medley relay team (1:53.20), 400 medley relay (4:06.51) and 800 freestyle relay (7:57.04) teams that all set school records.
