Football

Tyler Mazur turned in a career game against Monmouth on Oct. 20. The senior wide receiver from Reedsburg, Wis., tied his career high with nine catches and posted a career-best 225 receiving yards against the Fighting Scots. Mazur caught three touchdowns passes, including a pair of 62-yard scoring catches. This was the second 200-yard receiving game of Mazur's career, putting him in elite company in Lawrence football history.

Betsy Sorensen
Volleyball

Betsy Sorensen hit .302 on the week as Lawrence posted a 2-1 record. The sophomore middle hitter from Faribault, Minn., compiled 28 kills and 10 blocks in the three matches. In a 3-0 win over Mount Mary on Oct. 16, Sorsensen had nine kills, four blocks and two digs while hitting .412. In a 3-0 win over Knox on Oct. 19, Sorensen had 10 kills and four blocks while hititng .261. She also had a .261 hitting percentage on her way to nine kills, two digs and two blocks in a 3-0 loss to Monmouth on Oct. 20.
