Luke Barthelmess rushed for more than 100 yards and passed for more than 200 in Lawrence's 24-14 victory at Grinnell on Oct. 27. The junior quarterback from Appleton, Wis., also ran for two touchdowns and passed for another. Barthelmess ran 17 times for 103 yards for a 6.1-yard per carry average. Barthelmess became the first Lawrence back since the 2008 season to run for more than 100 yards twice in the same campaign. He also completed 14 of 29 passes for 207 yards with a touchdown and no interceptions. Barthelmess directed a critical 13-play, 98-yard touchdown drive late in the third quarter that gave Lawrence a 24-7 lead heading into the fourth quarter.

Cassie Burke
Women's Soccer

Cassie Burke posted a shutout in one match and was outstanding in her other outing of the week for the Vikings. The senior goalkeeper from Golden Valley, Minn., made eight saves in a 3-0 win over Beloit on Oct. 27 to post her second shutout of the season. She also made 10 saves, including several of the spectacular variety, in Lawrence's 1-0 loss to St. Norbert on Oct. 28. For the two matches, Burke had a .947 save percentage and 0.50 goals against average.
