MEET RESULTS

NCAA Division III Championships at Spokane, Washington (November 18)
Senior Peter Levi finished 106th in a time of 26 minutes, 27.7 seconds. He was the first Lawrence male runner to compete at the championships since 1990.

NCAA Division III Midwest Regional Championships at Colfax, Wisconsin (November 11)
Peter Levi led the Lawrence men to a 14th-place finish with 480 points and qualified for the NCAA Division III Championships. Levi took 22nd in 25:43 and will run Nov. 18 in the NCAA meet at Spokane, Wash.

Also running for the Vikings were Eric Davis (82nd, 27:00), Josh Cross (100th, 27:29), Trent Liebich (129th, 28:13), Greg Dubs (147th, 28:34), Zach Walker (164th, 29:01), and Cameron Kramlich (179th, 29:33).

The Lawrence women finished 12th with 336 points. Courtney Miller led Lawrence by placing 25th 19:12. Rounding out Lawrence's runners were Shelley Ebert (62nd, 19:45), Katy Roll (66th, 19:48), Sally Schonfeld (88th, 20:04), Julie Liebich (95th, 20:11), Valerie Curtis (100th, 20:14), and Lisa Tranel (109th, 20:24).

Midwest Conference Championships at Ripon College (October 28)
The Lawrence women placed second with 48 points. Carroll won the title with 30 points. Sally Schonfeld led Lawrence by placing third in 18:47, and Katy Roll took fourth in 18:52. Also scoring for Lawrence were Courtney Miller (ninth, 19:12), Valerie Curtis (13th, 19:20), and Julie Leibich (19th, 19:57).

The Lawrence men placed fourth with 117 points. Grinnell captured the title with 46 points. Peter Levi paced Lawrence by taking fourth in 27:00. Also scoring for the Vikings were Eric Davis (15th, 28:21), Josh Cross (19th, 28:35), Trent Liebich (36th, 30:00), and Greg Dubs (43rd, 30:21).

Lawrence University Invitational (October 21)
The Lawrence women took the team title, the Lawrence men were second, and Viking runners won both the men's and women's races.

The Vikings claimed the women's team title with 25 points. Katy Roll won the race for Lawrence in 20 minutes, 18 seconds. Sally Schonfeld placed third (21:04), Valerie Curtis was sixth (21:13), Julie Liebich took seventh (21:17), Lisa Tranel was eighth (21:23), and Shelley Ebert was ninth (21:24).

The Lawrence men were second with 46 points. Lawrence's Peter Levi won the men's race in 27:07. Josh Cross took sixth (29:15), Eric Davis was seventh (29:19), Zach Walker was 15th (30:47), and Greg Dubs placed 17th (30:59).

Wisconsin Private College Championships (October 14)
The Lawrence women placed second with 38 points, one point behind champion Carroll College. Courtney Miller paced Lawrence by taking second in 19 minutes, 25 seconds. Sally Schonfeld was fourth (19:34), Katy Roll was seventh (19:43), Julie Liebich was 11th (19:51), and Valerie Curtis was 14th (20:01) to round out the scoring for the Vikings. Shelley Ebert was 17th (20:19), Lisa Tranel placed 23rd (20:41), and Dana Thuecks was 27th (20:52).

The Lawrence men were fourth with 105 points. Carthage College won the title with 55. Peter Levi took fourth in 26:40 to lead the Vikings. Also scoring for Lawrence were Josh Cross (ninth, 27:41), Eric Davis (18th, 28:29), Trent Liebich (35th, 29:52), and Zach Walker (39th, 30:12).

Northland Baptist College Invitational (October 7)
Lawrence swept the men's and women's titles.

The Lawrence women posted a perfect score of 15 to claim victory. Katy Roll finished first in 19 minutes, 47 seconds. Finishing two through six for Lawrence were Sally Schonfeld (19:50), Valerie Curtis (20:02), Julie Liebich (20:23), Shelley Ebert (20:28), and Lisa Tranel (20:29).

Lawrence's Peter Levi ran to first place in 28:06 in the men's race, as the Vikings took the crown with 20 points. Also scoring for the Vikings were Josh Cross (third, 29:40), Eric Davis (fourth, 29:45), Greg Dubs (fifth, 30:45), and Trent Liebich (seventh, 31:37).

University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Open (September 30)
The Lawrence women finsihed second to conference rival Carroll College. The Vikings scored 55 points and Carroll won the title with 42 points. Leading the Lawrence women was Katy Roll, who placed third in 19 minutes, 38 seconds. Also scoring for Lawrence were Sally Schonfeld (fifth, 19:56), Valerie Curtis (sixth, 20:01), Lisa Tranel (15th, 20:13), and Shelley Ebert (26th, 21:00.).

Peter Levi led the Lawrence men to a fifth-place finish. Levi finished 13th in 26:48, Josh Cross was 19th in 27:33, and Eric Davis was 20th in 27:36. Also scoring for the Vikings were Greg Dubs (40th, 30:08) and Zach Walker (44th, 30:23).

Beloit College Invitational (September 23)
The Lawrence women placed second with 48 points. The University of Chicago won the women's title with 42 points. Katy Roll led Lawrence by taking third in a time of 20 minutes, 15 seconds on the five-kilometer course. Also scoring for Lawrence were Sally Schonfeld (fifth, 20:22), Valerie Curtis (eighth, 20:26), Lisa Tranel (15th, 21:03), and Shelley Ebert (17th, 21:07).

The Lawrence men took fifth with 110 points. The University of Chicago won the title with 65 points. Peter Levi paced Lawrence by taking fourth in 26:38 on the eight-kilometer course. Also scoring for Lawrence were Eric Davis (ninth, 27:15), Josh Cross (12th, 27:29), Trent Liebich (40th, 29:52), and Greg Dubs (45th, 30:08).

Midwest Collegiate Championships at UW-Parkside (September 16)
The Lawrence women placed tenth with 279 points. Calvin College won the title with 82. Sally Schonfeld led the Viking women by placing 42nd in 19:38. Valerie Curtis was 50th, Katy Roll was 53rd, Shelley Ebert was 64th, and Lisa Tranel was 85th.

The Lawrence men were 19th with 561 points. Calvin College won the title with 70. Peter Levi paced the Vikings by placing 30th in 26:30. Eric Davis was 61st, Josh Cross was 88th, Cameron Kramlich was 185th, and Trent Liebich was 197th.

St. Norbert College Invitational (September 9)
The Lawrence women won the title with 34 points. Katy Roll placed second overall in 20:05 to lead the Vikings. Also scoring for the Vikings were Valerie Curtis (fourth, 20:16), Sally Schonfeld (fifth, 20:19), Shelley Ebert (eighth, 20:29), and Lisa Tranel (15th, 20:48). The Lawrence men placed second with 62 points. Peter Levi took second in 21:40 to pace the Vikings. Eric Davis was fourth in 21:57, Josh Cross took seventh in 22:40, Eric Martin was 24th in 24:18, and Nick Aschbrenner was 25th in 24:24.

Michigan Tech Quadrangular (September 2)
The Lawrence women beat Michigan Tech 24-32. Valerie Curtis (35:46), Dana Thuecks (36:11), and Sally Schonfeld (36:16) finished second, third, and fourth, respectively, to pace Lawrence on the five-mile course. Katy Roll (36:36) was seventh and Shelley Ebert (36:42) was eighth to round out the scoring for Lawrence.

Lawrence finished with 97 points to place third behind Michigan Tech (15) and Northern Michigan (48). Peter Levi led Lawrence by placing sixth in 39:15 on the seven-mile course. Others scoring for Lawrence were Eric Davis (ninth, 40:49), Peter Navis (24th, 44:04), Eric Martin (28th, 44:40), and Nick Aschbrenner (30th, 45:03).
