NCAA Division III Midwest Regional Championships at Augustana College (November 10)
The Lawrence women ran to seventh place in the team standings with 236 points, but the Vikings had no individual qualfiers for the NCAA Division III Championships. The Lawrence men finished 31st with 818 points.

Valerie Curtis led Lawrence by placing 18th, Courtney Miller took 24th and Sally Schonfeld was 28th. Rounding out the scoring for Lawrence were Lisa Tranel in 60th and Shelley Ebert in 106th.

Eric Davis paced the Viking men by placing 100th. Also scoring for the Vikings were Paul Schonfeld (36th), Jesse Norton (182nd), Peter Navis (194th), and Steve Hahn (206th).

Midwest Conference Championships at Grinnell College (October 27)
The Lawrence women captured their second conference title in three years with the victory at Grinnell. Lawrence, which won the crown in 1999, took the team championship with 41 points, and Carroll was second with 47. St. Norbert's Julie Deyo won the individual crown in 18 minutes, 31 seconds. Lawrence's Courtney Miller was second in 18:34 and teammate Valerie Curtis was third in 18:40. Sally Schonfeld took seventh for Lawrence in 19:15, Lisa Tranel was 11th in 19:29, and Anna Stockhausen was 18th in 19:57 to complete the scoring for the Vikings. Rounding out the top seven for the Vikings were Shelley Ebert (26th, 20:22) and Alison Vandenberg (28th, 20:31).

The Lawrence men finished ninth with 201 points, and Grinnell won the title with 39. Adam Booth of Grinnell won the individual title in a time of 25:11. Eric Davis took 18th in 27:47 to pace Lawrence. The rest of Lawrence's top seven was Paul Schonfeld (35th, 28:55), Jesse Norton (44th, 29:20), Peter Navis (45th, 29:27), Steve Hahn (59th, 31:05), Jamie Howard (60th, 31:34), and Steve Geisthardt (62nd, 33:17).

Lawrence University Invitational (October 20)
The Lawrence women captured the team title and the Viking men placed third.

Lawrence's Lisa Tranel won the women's race in 35 minutes, 3 seconds, and the Vikings easily won the team title with 21 points. St. Norbert College finished second with 34 points. Lawrence's Sally Schonfeld was second in 35:04, and Lawrence's Valerie Curtis was third in 35:05. Rounding out Lawrence's top seven were Shelley Ebert (fifth, 37:06), Anna Stockhousen (10th, 37:38), Kelly Scheer (14tn, 39:00), and Jess Moser (16th, 39:23).

The Lawrence men were third with 92 points, and the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire won the title with 31 points. Eric Davis paced the Vikings by taking tenth in 29:33. Rounding out Lawrence's top seven were Paul Schonfeld (11th, 29:38), Jess Norton (22nd, 31:10), Peter Navis (23rd, 31:29), Jamie Howard (26th, 32:35), Steve Hahn (27th, 32:42), and Steve Geisthardt (30th, 35:34)

Wisconsin Private College Championships at Beloit College (October 13)
The Viking women swept the top three places and rolled to the team title. Lawrence was first with 30 points, and Carthage College was second with 67 points.Courtney Miller won the title for Lawrence with a time of 19 minutes, 25 seconds. Valerie Curtis placed second in 19:34 and Sally Schonfeld was third in 19:45. Lisa Tranel grabbed eighth for Lawrence in 20:28, Anna Stockhausen was 16th in 21:11, Alison Vandenberg took 21st in 21:15, and Jess Moser was 32nd in 21:44.

The Lawrence men placed sixth with 170 points, and Carthage took the team title with 35. Eric Davis led the by placing ninth in 27:51. Rounding out the top seven for Lawrence were: Paul Schonfeld (21st, 28:35), Peter Navis (41st, 30:13), Jesse Norton (48th, 30:36), Jamie Howard (51st, 30:52), Steve Hahn (57th, 32:03), and Steve Geisthardt 58th, 32:43).

Northland Baptist Bible College Invitational (October 6)
The Vikings swept the team titles, and the Lawrence women posted a perfect score. Lawrence took the top eight places in the women's race and turned in a score of 15. Northland Baptist was second with 62. Valerie Curtis won the race in 19 minutes, 48 seconds, Courtney Miller was second (19:49), Sally Schonfeld took third (20:02), Lisa Tranel was fourth (20:29), Anna Stockhausen placed fifth (20:32), Shelley Ebert grabbed sixth (20:39), Alison Vandenberg was seventh (21:02), and Dana Thuecks was eighth (21:16).

The Lawrence men tied with Northland Baptist with 28 points. Eric Davis took first overall for Lawrence in 29:14. Paul Schonfeld was third in 29:48, Peter Navis was fourth (30:50), Jamie Howard took ninth (32:23), and Steve Hahn was 11th (34:10).

Beloit College Old English Classic (September 29)
The Lawrence women ran away with the team title and swept the top four individual places in the process. Courtney Miller won the women's race in 19 minutes, 31 seconds, Valerie Curtis grabbed second in 19:35, Sally Schonfeld was third in 19:49, and Lisa Tranel placed fourth in 20:07. Alison Vandenberg rounded out Lawrence's scoring by taking ninth in 20:49. Also in the top seven for the Vikings were Anna Stockhausen (12th, 20:55) and Shelley Ebert (21st, 21:39). Carroll College finished second with 60 points.

The Lawrence men took fifth with 107 points, and the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point won the title with 48. Eric Davis led the Vikings by taking fifth in 27:15. Paul Schonfeld was ninth in 27:47, Jesse Norton took 28th in 29:57, Jamie Howard was 29th in 30:06, Steve Geisthardt rounded out the scoring by placing 36th in 30:32, and Peter Navis was 39th in 30:48.

Warhawk Invitational at University of Wisconsin-Whitewater (September 22)
The Lawrence women placed second and the Viking men were ninth. UW-Parkside won the women's crown with 28 points, and Lawrence was second with 79. Whitewater grabbed the men's title with 42 points, and Lawrence had 189.

Courtney Miller paced the Lawrence women by placing fifth in 19 minutes, 22 seconds. Lawrence also had three other runners in the top 15, as Valerie Curtis came in ninth in 19:35, Sally Schonfeld was 12th in 19:55, and Lisa Tranel was 15th in 20:05. Rounding out the top seven for the Vikings were Shelley Ebert (43rd, 21:00), Alison Vandenberg (49th, 21:07), and Anna Stockhausen (64th, 21:34).

Eric Davis turned in another solid performance to lead the Lawrence men. Davis was 12th in 27:54. Paul Schonfeld led the rest of the Lawrence contingent by taking 28th in 29:12. Rounding out the top seven for the Vikings were Jesse Norton (60th, 30:57), Jamie Howard (70th, 31:24), Steve Hahn (90th, 32:40), Steve Geisthardt (95th, 34:17), and Scott Hawley (102nd, 36:00).

Midwest Collegiate Cross Country Meet at University of Wisconsin-Parkside (September 15)
The Lawrence women finished ninth and the Viking men took 26th. Calvin College won the women's title with 60 points and Lawrence had 262. UW-La Crosse captured the men's title with 74 points and Lawrence had 793.

Courtney Miller paced the Viking women by taking 16th in 18 minutes, 50 seconds. Valerie Curtis was 32nd in 19:12, Sally Schonfeld grabbed 56th in 19:39, Lisa Tranel came in 71st in 20:00, and Alison Vandenberg was 87th in 20:25. Rounding out the top seven for the Vikings were Dana Thuecks (93rd, 20:34) and Shelley Ebert (108th, 21:03).

Eric Davis finished 86th in 27:15 to lead the Lawrence men. The rest of the finishers for the Vikings were: Jesse Norton (166th, 30:02), Jamie Howard (172nd, 30:36), Steve Geisthardt (184th, 31:52), and Steve Hahn (185th, 31:57).

St. Norbert College Invitational (September 8)
The Lawrence women swept the top three places and easily ran to the team title. Courtney Miller won the title in 19 minutes, 16 seconds, Valerie Curtis was second in 19:28, and Sally Schonfeld was third in 19:56. Lisa Tranel placed seventh for Lawrence in 20:12 and Shelley Ebert grabbed tenth in 20:45. Lawrence finished with 23 points, and St. Norbert was second with 66. Alison Vandenberg grabbed 15th for the Vikings in 21:03 and Anna Stockhausen was 22nd in 21:27.

Eric Davis led the Lawrence men to a fifth-place finish. Davis took fourth in 22:16 and the Vikings finished with 148 points. St. Norbert won the title with 78. Paul Schonfelfeld was 13th (23:10), Jesse Norton was 37th (24:17), Jamie Howard was 44th (24:35), Steve Geisthardt was 50th (25:09), and Steve Hahn was 59th (25:39).

Michigan Tech Triangular (September 1)
The Lawrence women placed second and the Viking men were third.

Northern Michigan won the women's event with 16 points and Lawrence had 56. Valerie Curtis was fifth to pace the Lawrence women in a time of 24 minutes, 32.78 seconds in the 6,000-meter event. Courtney Miller was eighth (24:58.92), Sally Schonfeld was 15th (25:50.21), Shelley Ebert was 19th (26:10.26), Lisa Tranel was 20th (26:16.30), Dana Thuecks was 31st (27:15.70), and Anna Stockhausen was 35th (28:07.13).

Michigan Tech won the men's title with 20 points and Lawrence finished with 74. Eric Davis placed ninth in 41:34.33 to pace the Vikings on the 11,000-meter course. Paul Schonfeld took 16th (42:25.10), Jesse Norton was 24th (45:29.95), Jamie Howard was 25th (45:36.08), Steve Geisthardt placed 31st (48:01.22), Steve Hahn was 33rd (49:49.92), and Scott Hawley was 34th (52:42.86).
