NCAA Division III Midwest Regional Championships at Winneconne, Wis. (November 10)

The Lawrence women finished 26th among the 30 teams with 737 points. Joy Manweiler paced Lawrence by finishing 110th in 24:06. Also scoring for Lawrence were: Abby Fisher (144th, 24:42), Clare Shinners (153rd, 24:48), Cat Marinac (157th, 24:51), and Alice Shepro (173rd, 25:35). The Lawrence men finished 34th among the 35 teams with 1,000 points. Scoring for the Vikings were: Dave Golub (185th, 28:24), Russell Geisthardt (198th, 28:56), Mark Sprtel (201st, 29:01), Dylan Reed-Maxfield (204th, 29:10), and Matt Eddy (212th, 29:32).

Midwest Conference Championships at Illinois College (October 27)

Joy Manweiler earned all-conference honors for the women with a 20th-place finish in 20:14.46 on the 5,000-meter course. The Lawrence women finished sixth in the team standings. Also scoring for the women were: Cat Marinac (22nd, 20:29.79), Abby Fisher (24th, 20:41.87), Clare Shinners (25th, 20:43.06), and Alice Shepro (35th, 21:22.55). The Lawrence men finished tied for ninth with 249 points. Scoring for the men were: Dave Golub (47th, 29:05.73), Evan Jacobson (48th, 20:21.57), Russell Geisthardt (49th, 29:22.73), Casey Shaw (51st, 29:36.43), and Dylan Reed-Maxfield (54th, 29:56.84).

Wisconsin Private College Championships at Concordia University of Wisconsin (October 13)

Joy Manweiler, Abby Fisher, and Cat Marinac all earned All-State honors for the Vikings. Manweiler finished 14th in 20 minutes, 27 seconds, over the 5,000-meter course to earn second-team honors. Fisher was 18th in 20:40 and Marinac was 20th in 20:45 to claim a spot on the third team. Rounding out the scoring for Lawrence, which placed fourth among the 16 teams, were Alice Shepro (28th, 21:11) and Clare Shinners (30th, 21:13). The Lawrence men were seventh among the 13 teams. David Golub (24th, 28:23) paced the men on the 8,000-meter course. Also scoring for the Vikings were: Evan Jacobson (34th, 28:54), Russell Geisthardt (38th, 29:19), Mark Sprtel (40th, 29:24), and Dylan Reed-Maxfield (41st, 29:38).

Beloit College Classic (October 6)

Cat Marinac finished 10th overall to lead the Lawrence women to third place in the team standings. Led by her finish of 22 minutes, 7.5 seconds, on the 5,000-meter course, Lawrence finished third in the team standings. Lawrence's scorers were bunched closely, with Abby Fisher finishing 13th (22:24), Jay Manweiler taking 14th (22:29), Clare Shinners taking 18th (22:41), and Alice Shepro finishing 24th (23:06). The Lawrence men finished seventh in the team standings. David Golub paced the Vikings by finishing 13th on the 8,000-meter course in 30:00.6. Rounding out the scoring for Lawrence were: Dylan Reed-Maxfield (32nd, 31:21), Russell Geisthardt (46th, 32:13), Phil Kronenberg (53rd, 32:44), and Dan Moeller (57th, 33:06).

University of Minnesota Invitational (September 29)

Lawrence finished 35th among the 42 teams, with Abby Fisher as the top finisher for the Vikings. She was 174th in 26 minutes, 2 seconds, on the 6,000-meter course. Also scoring for the Vikings were: Cat Marinac (205th, 26:51), Joy Manweiler (216th, 27:20), Sarah Bruemmer (226th, 27:39), and Alice Shepro (245th, 28:17). The top finisher for the men was David Golub, who was 174th in 30:00 on the 8,000-meter course. Also scoring for the Vikings were: Evan Jacobson (202nd, 31:13), Dylan Reed-Maxfield (203rd, 31:17), Russell Geisthardt (205th, 31:25), and Mark Sprtel (216th, 32:07). The men were 33rd in the team standings among the 34 teams.

Midwest Collegiate Championships at UW-Parkside (September 15)

Joy Manweiler paced all Lawrence runners by placing 86th in 20 minutes, 42 seconds, on the 5,000-meter course. Abby Fisher was next in 96th in 21:05, and Clare Shinners (100th, 21:15), Alice Shepro (104th, 21:22), and Cat Marinac (110th, 21:29) rounded out Lawrence's scorers. The Vikings placed 18th among the 21 teams. On the men's side, Lawrence was 19th among the 20 teams. Dave Golub led the Vikings by placing 120th in 30:00 over the 8,000-meter course. Mark Sprtel was next in 122nd in 30:07, with Corey Lehnert (124th, 30:17), Russell Geisthardt (125th, 30:18), and Evan Jacobson (127th, 30:33) completing the scoring for Lawrence.

St. Norbert College Invitational (September 1)

The Lawrence women finished fifth in the team standings among the 12 teams. Clare Shinners paced the Vikings by turning in the highest finish of her career. She took 11th place in 21 minutes, 25 seconds, on the 5,000-meter course. Joy Manweiler was close behind in 18th place, Alice Shepro was 22nd, and Abby Fisher was 24th. Senior Cat Marinac was 37th in her debut as a Lawrence cross country runner. On the men's side, the Vikings finished seventh among the 11 teams. Corey Lehnert was the top finisher for Lawrence, as he took 35th on the four-mile course in 24:17. Rounding out the scoring for the men were Evan Jacobson (39th), Russell Geisthardt (40th), Dave Golub (48th), and Casey Shaw (50th).
