Description: This project-based course encourages students to explore the variety of artistic capabilities required to create theatre. Operating as both a means to inspire a deeper appreciation of the art form and to provide a foundation for theatre making at Lawrence, students in this class will interact artistically with a variety of short format plays. Description: We will begin by re-engaging our exploration of Shurtleff’s Guideposts from Acting I and Acting II, then explore approaches from Keith Johnstone and Marina Caldarone in both pre-modern and modern realist plays.
