The twentieth century in Eastern Europe has now begun. Over the course of the next four sessions we will focus on the period 1914-1923, when new borders were drawn, new identities. created, and new political and social movements generated. You should think of these sessions as organized by topic, rather than chronologically, because the events we will be covering occurred more or less simultaneously.
