9:00 - 10:00 am Introductions and overview: who we are (instructors and students) and what we're doing here. Discussion and presentation of the possible uses of web pages
10:00 - 10:45 am Presentation of the web authoring process, introduction to HTML, and a brief demonstration of how to create a web page with text, links, and images using Netscape Composer
10:45 - 11:00 am Break
11:00 am - 12:30 pm First Web Page I: using Composer, we'll create a page that includes text, an image, and links. Some design issues. Saving the page, file naming conventions, etc.
12:30 - 1:30 pm Lunch
1:30 - 3:00 pm First Web Page II: "Upgrading" the page using backgrounds, colors, bullets, lines, etc.
3:00 - 3:15 pm Break
3:15 - 4:30 Publishing the page. Using standard Beloit practices, we'll put our pages on the Web. Learn to make updates and upload them as you progress.
