Courseware and Instructional Management Systems

These are some of the features common to most web-based learning systems:

Authoring (course creation) is done through a web browser, and knowledge of HTML is not required. The interface, ease of use, style of presentation and advanced functions may vary among products. Using any of the various tools you have the ability to create on-line courses without being a technical expert. For example, there are four products currently offered through the Wisconsin Web-Based Learning System utility. They are:

There are many course management sites. One that has been receiving some attention of late is the Digital Online Technology Educational Design Utility supported by UW-Milwaukee. Dot.edu, as it is called, allows educators to place course content on the web for learners in and out of the classroom. See dot.edu at ---
