Attendance and deadlines
I will take attendance every day. You can miss two classes without penalty, but each additional unexcused absence will lower your final grade by one-third of a letter grade. Unexcused absences are those that haven’t been cleared by the Health Center or the Dean of Student Academic Services.
I do not accept late papers, but I will grant brief extensions. When you request an extension, you must propose a new deadline for the assignment. The new deadline will be absolutely binding. If you miss it, you’ll get an “F” for the assignment.
