1921 Briggs builds

Lucia Russell Briggs, a graduate of Radcliffe College and professor at Simmons College in Boston, becomes the second president of Milwaukee-Downer College. During her tenure, the college endowment increases significantly, many professorships are endowed, and new buildings are added.

1926 Briggs honored

Lawrence College of Appleton, Wisconsin, confers an honorary degree on Lucia R. Briggs.
