Thank you for your interest in our seminar. This website is intended to give you an overview of our plans for the seminar. It contains links to the intellectual rationale behind the seminar, a detailed syllabus, a list of the readings, as well as an annotated bibliography, and an introduction to the seminar’s co-directors. You will also find guidelines for the application process, NEH eligibility criteria, a link to the actual application, and a set of frequently asked questions (with answers!). You will be able to read about housing, including a link to pictures of the apartments that we have reserved, and a discussion of the stipend and costs associated with the seminar. We have embedded photos from the 2012 seminar in various documents to give you a sense of what awaits you in Berlin next summer. Of course, we would be happy to answer any questions that arise as you consider joining us. Please use the link to our email addresses if you want to get in touch with us for any reason.
